Euro Millions Lottery 2010 Scam Sandra Bregjt

Regular readers of this blog and skeptics are probably familiar with junk emails appearing showing you've won lotteries from overseas like the one below. But I guess it bears worth repeating again to be careful and realize these are complete scams as well. Here's a verbatim copy of an email scam about me winning the lottery:

Dear Prize winner,

The European private international e-games organizers and co-sponsors of the EURO MILLIONS LOTTERY officially bring to your notice the result of week 12 draw of the EURO MILLIONS lottery E-Game which was conducted at our international corporate office complex in the Netherlands.

Most recently this foundation set up the new lottery scheme to give out prizes based on a computer ballot system, the lottery scheme is aimed at encouraging the use of the Internet for academic and business purposes. It also seek to promote music, theater, art, literature, projects in the social and political arena with focuses on health, science, research and development.

We wish to congratulate and inform you that your email coupon number was selected among the 45 lucky consolation prize winners for this week. Your email ID identified with coupon No.EUM2348974321 was selected by in the lottey E-Game by a Random Selection System (ERSS) with entries from 50,000 different email addresses enrolled for this week's E-Game. Your email ID was included among the 50,000 different email addresses submitted by our partner international email provider companies.

You have won a consolation cash prize of Ђ1,000, 000.00 (One million Euro). The EURO MILLIONS management have approved a payout of your cash prize which will be remunerated directly to you by the our official payment board. Our Financial Unit (FU) will render to you complete assistance and provide additional information and processes for the claims of your consultation prize. These emails may include our name, our logo and links, we are working seriously to ensure security on our web page.
